Lori was born and raised in southwestern Minnesota and attended undergraduate school at Minnesota State University Mankato, where she graduated in 1990, summa cum laude, with her Bachelor’s degrees in political science and law enforcement. Lori thereafter attended law school at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1993. She next clerked for the Hon. William Howard in Hennepin County District Court for one year, and then went on to practice for 30+ years, first as an associate attorney and then as a partner of a small insurance defense firm.

Lori has been handling all aspects of insurance defense claims for over 30 years, including personal injury claims arising out of automobile accidents and premises liability, coverage opinions, and construction disputes. She is a skilled writer, and has authored hundreds of complex motions, including pre- and post-trial issues, as well as appellate briefs. She is also a Qualified Neutral pursuant to Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice as well as a No-Fault American Arbitration Association (AAA) Appointed Arbitrator.

Lori is admitted to practice law in the Minnesota State Bar as well as the Federal District Court of Minnesota, and she is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. Lori has been married to Chad for 31 years, and has three adult sons. She enjoys traveling, hiking, biking and playing pickleball.
