Mark graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota in 1983. He graduated from Hamline University College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota (Now Michell Hamline) in 1986.

Since graduating from law school, Mark has worked primarily in civil litigation where he has represented a multitude of clients, primarily defendants, in civil litigation ranging from basic claims to complex multi-party litigation. Mark believes that all clients, large and small, deserve quality legal representation at a price that they can afford. He also has a special talent for taking complex legal issues and explaining them to clients, and to juries, in a manner that makes complicated issues understandable to all.

Mark has extensive expertise across a wide range of civil litigation areas, including personal injury, insurance coverage, construction defects, product liability, premises liability, and insurance subrogation. His broad practice has allowed him to develop a specialized focus on workplace injury claims, representing defendants in third-party employer liability cases and handling workers’ compensation subrogation interests in complex matters.

In addition to his litigation work, Mark has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution. He has served as both a mediator and an arbitrator, helping parties resolve disputes efficiently and effectively without the need for traditional litigation.

When he is not working, Mark can be found biking, hiking, and traveling with his wife Heidi. He also enjoys hanging out with his dogs and the occasional locally brewed craft beer!
