Nick attended the University of Minnesota on a full academic scholarship where he received his undergraduate degree in History / International Relations in 1989.  He worked his way through college during the summers at Rahr Malting Company in Shakopee shoveling malted barley into train cars and worked during the school year at Media Resources Campus Service on the University of Minnesota Campus.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Nick then attended Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline) where he graduated in 1993.  He clerked full time during law school.  Since graduating from law school, Nick has spent the next 28 years focusing his practice on commercial and insurance litigation matters.

Currently, Nick represents numerous self-insureds and insurance companies regarding many litigated matters that include trucking litigation, fire and explosion cases, property appraisals, personal injury defense, wrongful death defense, contract and coverage law, employer liability, construction disputes and general litigation.  He has been involved in many complex matters including high profile cases and catastrophic losses.

Nick is well known as a trial attorney.  He has tried over 100+ jury trials to completion during his career and he also has extensive experience with appellate matters.  In addition to his legal practice, Nick serves as an arbitrator and mediator and is a Qualified Neutral in the State of Minnesota and handles matters in the areas of personal injury, construction and commercial disputes.  He frequently presents at seminars for clients and attorneys on various legal subjects and issues.

Nick is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and is admitted to the Minnesota State Bar, the Federal District Court of Minnesota and the Wisconsin State Bar.  His favorite activities are hiking, fishing and enjoying time with friends and his wife Lisa and his two grown children.
